Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GigWorkerTools (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Whitestone Consulting LLC, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit gigworkertools.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

The short version

Our calculators run entirely in your web browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed on your device and are not transmitted to, collected by, or stored on our servers. We do, however, collect limited information automatically (like analytics data) and any information you choose to give us (like your email address if you subscribe). Details below.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you subscribe to our email list, contact us, or otherwise submit information, we collect what you send us — typically your email address and any message content.

Calculator inputs. As noted above, the values you enter into our calculators are handled locally in your browser and are not sent to us or saved by us.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies, which may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring website, and how you interact with the Site.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand how it is used, and support our affiliate relationships. These include:

  • Essential cookies that make the Site function.
  • Analytics cookies (for example, from analytics providers) that help us understand traffic and usage so we can improve the Site.
  • Affiliate cookies set when you click an affiliate link, which allow our partners to attribute a referral to us.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and where required we present a cookie consent banner so you can manage your choices. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Site, respond to your inquiries, send you emails you have requested (and let you unsubscribe at any time), understand site traffic and performance, support affiliate attribution, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third parties and hosting

The Site is built and hosted on Wix, which processes certain data on our behalf as part of providing hosting; see Wix’s own privacy policy for details. We also use third-party services such as web analytics providers, our email service provider, and affiliate networks (including CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, and Impact). These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites you reach through links on our Site.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information:

  • If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR): you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability.
  • If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@gigworkertools.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Email communications

If you subscribe, we will send you emails related to GigWorkerTools. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version, and changes take effect when posted.
